Who We Are
Our difference:
We are personally invested in delivering the best service every single time. Our owner is a true craftsman and will work on your job himself. We are not a job shop. We are a custom handrail builder and each piece is built by our owner ensuring all details are considered.
Thank you for visiting our site! Meet our owners - Chad and Kristi Lisbon from Pittsburgh. They have been living and working locally in the city and finally achieved a big dream of owning a small business after purchasing Pittsburgh Custom Metals in 2021 from Harry Siegel. Harry owned the business for 40 years and started by building gym equipment. Harry later began building railing and eventually wanted to sell to retire. Thankfully, Harry stayed on for a few months to mentor Chad. Harry passed away in 2022, but we are grateful for the time he spent with us.
Chad has over 20 years of experience in building handrail. He has experience with large projects (Beaver Stadium), intricate specialty railing and gates, curved-rail for interior and exterior applications and simple projects. You can find his work his work in homes, local restaurants all over Pittsburgh. He also was part of the team who built the trees in front of American Eagle in the Strip District. He has worked at large structural steel companies and small ornamental iron businesses locally. He has been mentored by the best in town and is a meticulous, skilled fabricator.
They purchased the business in 2021 with the dream of taking Chad’s talents and creating a business where he can build quality pieces for homes around Pittsburgh. When you work with the Lisbon’s you can expect that Chad will measure and build your project with care and work with you through the design and installation process with no shortcuts.
The Lisbon’s are passionate about helping you make your designs become real and will not settle for less than top quality.
